Cruising On Your Honeymoon
Of course there are a lot of choices when it comes to honeymoons. There are places to go that are close to where you live, destinations that are a short trip by airplane, out of the country honeymoons, and then there are cruise ships. Maybe you have the perception that cruise ships are only for the retired couple that just wants to play cards on deck all day with other retired couples. Wrong!
First, the cost. While still not cheap, it is an economical way to take a honeymoon. All your services are included as a package deal, which typically includes your room, food, and entertainment. And probably best of all, depending the location of your cruise, you have the chance to visit many different ports. It is something you can't do on a typical honeymoon destination wedding where you are in one spot for the entire trip. So imagine the comfort, relaxation of being on a ship and then when the ship visits a port enjoying the uniqueness of that particular location. Another advantage of taking a cruise for the honeymoon is that the majority of the planning is already done for you. All the bride and groom need to do is figure out what part of the world they would like to visit. There are cruises to the Bahamas, Mexico, Alaska, and even to more far away places like the Mediteranean and the South Pacific. If a part of your wedding planning was to have a destination honeymoon in one of these locations it would take a lot of preperation ahead of time to insure a trouble free honeymoon. If you are taking a cruise most of this would be planned for you. Some research would need to be done ahead of time though for you to visit the not so typical places in and around the port. And last but not least, there is a certain intimacy that the bride and groom can enjoy when taking a cruise. Even though you are on a ship with thousands of people you can feel like you are quite alone. You will have a beautiful stateroom that you never have to leave but when you want to. In the evening you stroll together on the deck of your waterfront home. Now that's romantic! There are many restaurants to satisfy what ever food you are in the mood for, and lots of recreations such as swimming. If you feel like getting out for some nightlife there are different clubs and restaurants that have live entertainment so you can do some dancing. If you are planning a wedding and haven't decided about the honeymoon yet, consider a cruise. It is a great way to start a marriage with some wonderful memories.
